Sherlock stood in the Ravenclaw Quidditch viewing box watching the crowd far more than he bothered to watch the game as he stood aside from the stands. It wouldn't do well to be stuck in the middle of that crowd. For one, they were very noisy. For another, he was supposed to be meeting someone and standing aside would make him a bit more obvious. Not that Jim really needed the help.

To pass the time he watched Greg and Tony above, comparing their performance and team management styles with what he knew of them. He followed Peter's broom now and then. Things moved too fast to really be all that interesting. Sherlock much preferred a game of whits to a game mostly of luck, chance, and physical skill.

Moriarty's expression changed as the threat continued. "Would you go through with it?" His pristine brows rose curiously and he tilted his head curiously.

"What? Teaching you a lesson? Surely if you couldn't think better of your actions without it."

"Taking the job upon yourself? Why?"

"Because I understand you better than the teacher do."

He nodded and wet his lips before that flirty smile was aimed at Sherlock again. "If you want to 'punish' me there are other ways..." He couldn't seem to keep a straight face.

Sherlock's brow furrowed. "Other ways?"

"I'm not going to explain sexual innuendo jokes to you."

[3potionproblem]

"Oh." Sherlock rolled his eyes. "Yes, very funny. Sorry but I have no desire to have you over my knee."

He shook his head. "It was a joke."

"Sherlock, thank you."

That was genuinely surprising. Sherlock cocked his head in his direction, curious. "What for?"

He looked at him as if he grew a second head that started speaking Brazilian. "I'm grateful to have met you." It wasn't a lie, he was grateful to have the other male in his life.

James shrugged and dropped his gaze down.

Sherlock half glared. "James Moriarty, will you stop with these ridiculous sentiments already? I can deduce 'goodbye' from more than two syllables you know. Come on. Let's find something useful to do rather than just stand around in a hallway like directionless sheep."

He headed back down the hall, expecting to be followed.

James frowned in response but nodded nonetheless. He seemed a bit hesitant but did indeed follow after Sherlock. "What do you intend to do?"

"Library. There's some advanced potions I'd like to give a go in some chemistry cross studies."
